Internal Migration Patterns of National and Foreign Population in Italy. A Local Spatial Comparative Approach

A local spatial comparative approach to study internal migration of national and foreign population in Italy is proposed the paper. Univariate bivariate analysis autocorrelation rates two populations conducted. Results are mapped crossed with municipalities typologies identified by Degree Urbanization (Degurba) classification. The scale allows appreciate specific patterns migrations normally ignored. Specifically, a dual regime emerges between geographical nationals foreigners terms urban-rural divide level polarization.
